Secondment of translators
If the texts you want to have translated are so confidential that they cannot leave your premises, or if the translations need to be done in your own system, DaVinci Vertalingen can arrange for translators to work on your premises for as long as you want.
(Simultaneous and consecutive) interpreting
Interpreting is the verbal translation of speech from one language to another. Another service provided by DaVinci Vertalingen. We offer both simultaneous interpreting and consecutive interpreting. In the case of simultaneous interpreting the interpreter translates while the speaker is speaking.
Simultaneous interpreting tends to be used for large conferences. Two specialist interpreters sit in a booth listening to the speaker and take it in turns to simultaneously interpret what is being said. The target language audience can hear the interpreter via a headset. If the group of listeners is fairly small, you may wish to opt for a whispering interpreter. A whispering interpreter can interpret for up to three listeners without having to use equipment. If there are more than three listeners the interpreter will work with a mobile microphone and headset system. Consecutive interpreters make notes while a speech is being delivered and then faithfully relay the message of the speech in another language. A consecutive interpreter can also facilitate a conversation, translating one sentence then another into the languages of those involved in the conversation. No equipment is needed in this case .
