Court interpreting: what you need to know
You have to attend a trial or hearing, your client has been summoned, or you want to apply to a district court or court of appeal in the Netherlands, but you or your client do not have (sufficient) command of the Dutch language. In that situation, you are obliged by law to engage a sworn interpreter. Whether it is the court of first instance or the court of appeal: we have sworn interpreters with a wide range of knowledge and experience to provide you or your client with linguistic assistance. All the interpreters used by DaVinci Translations are listed in the register of sworn interpreters, known as the Wbtv Register. This is the official quality register for interpreters in the Netherlands.
We provide interpreters for:
- Criminal and civil proceedings
- Proceedings in the first instance and appeal proceedings
- Online sessions (via a video link)
- Expedited proceedings (therefore also at short notice)
Naturally, you want to focus on the case and arrange an interpreter as soon as possible.
By using the contact form, you can submit an application straight away. We will then find the registered sworn interpreter who is right for you.

INVENTUM
“DaVinci has been producing translations for us for many years. Today we entrust them with the production of all our manuals. This means that as well as writing and translating the manuals, they also take care of all the DTP work. The manuals are formatted exactly the way we want in every language.”
